National Hellenic Research Foundation

The National Hellenic Research Foundation, one of the largest Research Centers in Greece, was founded in 1958 originally under the name "Royal Research Foundation". It is a non-profit Research Foundation supervised by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs in Greece.The Theoretical and Physical Chemistry Institute (TPCI) was established in 1979 and is one of the three research Institutes of the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF). The goals of the TPCI include:
 
The advancement of scientific research in the fields of theoretical and computational chemistry and physics, and experimental physical chemistry - chemical physics.
The training of young scientists (undergraduates, graduates and postdoctoral fellows) in the methodology and practices of modern research. 
The transfer of know-how developed in the Institute into selected industrial applications through its R&D service facilities.
